Before, During, and After

Over Spring Break, I refinished a desk for my scrapbooking room! It originally belonged to my dad's parents. With the help of my aunt, we sanded, primed, and painted. What do you think?

What My Mom Would LOVE About My House!

It's on a cul-de-sac, just like Knots Landing!

All of the shades of brown....her favorite color!

The front porch!

But, most of all, she would love how much I love it!

When Everything Seems To Be Too Much.......

Love Has Come
Mark Schultz

Well, I know this life is filled with sorrow
And there are days when the pain just lasts and lasts
But I know there will come a day
When all our tears are washed away with a break in the clouds
His glory coming down and in that moment

Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
That God is love and love has come for us all
Every heart set free, every one will see
That God is love and love has come for us all

For anybody who has ever lost a loved one
And you feel like you had to let go too soon
I know it hurts to say goodbye
But don't you know it's just a matter of time till the tears are gonna end
You'll see them once again and in that moment

Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
That God is love and love has come for us all
Every heart set free, every one will see
That God is love and love has come for us all

Oh, and on that day we will stand amazed
At our Savior, God and King
Just to see the face of amazing grace
As our hearts rise up and sing

Glory, glory, hallelujah
Thank You for the cross
Singing glory, glory, hallelujah
Christ has paid the cost

Glory, glory, hallelujah
Thank You for the cross
Singing glory, glory
Christ has paid the cost

And every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
That God is love and love has come for us all
Every heart set free, every one will see
That God is love and love has come for us all

Love has come for us all
Love has come for us all

And every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
God is love and love has come for us all
Every heart set free, every one will see
God is love and love has come for us all

Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
God is love and love has come for us all
Every heart set free, every one will see
God is love and love has come for us all

Super Bowl(s)

I try not to keep up with sports news, but I'm hearing a lot of talk about the Super Bowl. So,
here is my idea of a SUPER Bowl!

This is the Rachael Ray "trash bowl" that my Mom bought for me a few Christmases ago!

My Mom would buy me something pink every Christmas!

We have a bowl that looks almost just like this! Every birthday cake began with batter mixed in here.

My Dad Always Said......

There are two kinds of people: Beatles fans and Elvis fans. I know what you are thinking, and no, you can't be both! He said everyone prefers one above the other.

My Dad was a Beatles fan.

As for my Mom and I..........definitely Elvis fans!

Watching my students listen to music, definitely proves my Dad's theory to be true! So, which are you???

Dad's Birthday

Today would have been my Dad's 64th birthday. I went to Target this morning and put together a few gift baskets. I dropped them off at the hospital, and asked that they be given to patients who have suffered from a stroke. I don't know who received them, but I hope they are given some comfort.

I read this verse this morning and wanted to add it to this post.
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
